"GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Three Catholic Central High School seniors are semifinalists in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program, according to principal Greg Deja.
Seniors Zachary Drees, Kathryn Mirandette and Aristotle Zervoudakis are among 16,000 semifinalists nationwide. The pool of semifinalists, which represents less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. These students will now compete for some 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth about $35 million that will be offered next spring."
